FUNK'D UP TUESDAYS OPEN JAM NIGHT, HOSTED BY DYNAMIC DISTRACTION EVERY TUESDAY AT MONOLITH BREWING CO ON S BROADWAY! Tell your family and friends! Open to everyone and all ages! Come hang out, sign up, and play or grab a cold one and enjoy free live music from local and well-traveled musicians alike! Wanna get out and sing or play? Looking to test out that new song or groove you wrote in the company of fellow musicians? Ready to get on stage? Now's your chance! We strive to be inclusive and welcoming to all. Format: Host band Dynamic Distraction plays 2-3 songs then opens up the stage for the rest of the night. Sign up sheet available starting 6:30pm (on the first table of the middle row when you enter Monolith). When your turn is up, you are the band leader for 2 songs or 10 minutes. You are welcome to stick around and play with the other performers as the evening goes on! Since starting this open jam in late June, everyone who has signed up has gotten to play! We will try to keep it that way! To stay true to our funk theme, we only ask that you bring music that is energetic and groovy and hopefully not too complex for fellow jammers to follow along to. All that said, we welcome all types of musical artists and appreciate that funk is a musical form that can cross many genres. Original music preferred. You're more than welcome to bring your own gear, but we'll have items on stage easy for you to use as well!
