Open Mic Colorado began as The Colorado Songwriters Collective, a volunteer community project. It has operated for years as a volunteer-powered labor of love, primarily supported by founder Sami Serrag and the dozens of community members who have contributed their time, equipment, skills, and enthusiasm. We are deeply grateful for everyone who has helped us get this far.
Open Mic Colorado is becoming a nonprofit: Open Mic Colorado, Inc. is in formation as a Colorado nonprofit corporation; a 501(c)(3) application is planned, not yet granted. Until that process is complete, contributions support the project's operating costs and are not tax-deductible. Sponsors are acknowledged and thanked, but never sold ranking, placement, or editorial control.
Want the full picture of where this is headed? Read the mission deck on our About page.
Every donation, no matter the size, helps us continue hosting events, maintaining the directory, and building community resources.
