Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to pay to host?

No. Hosting on Open Mic Colorado is completely free. We are a nonprofit, and we want it to be easy for anyone to run an open mic or showcase.

I run a venue, not a performer. Can I host?

Yes. Venues and spaces are welcome. List the music nights you host so performers and audiences can find them, and invite the hosts you work with as co-hosts to manage the details.

What if someone else is already listed as host?

If you run a mic that is listed with someone else as host, you can request to claim it. We verify and transfer hosting to you.

Can I have co-hosts?

Yes. Once you are a host, you can invite others as co-hosts. They get the same notifications and can help manage the lineup.

How do performers sign up?

Performers visit your event page and claim available slots. You see who has signed up and adjust the lineup as needed.

What if I need to cancel a date?

You can cancel individual occurrences without affecting the rest of your series. Signed-up performers are notified automatically.
