evin Bang is a singer, songwriter, and guitarist with four decades of experience crafting emotionally resonant, melody-driven music that bridges alternative roots and modern pop-folk. A veteran of the Cleveland, Ohio alternative scene, Bang was lead guitarist, backing vocalist, and co-writer in World in a Room, one of the most promising Midwest bands of the 1990s. Constant touring and the success of their 1996 album Mood Circus put the band on the brink of a major-label breakthrough before they parted ways in late 1997. Kevin went on to play and co-write in Five Minutes Fast and A Certain Sign, while continually writing his own songs. In 2024, Mood Circus was rediscovered and re-released by Fervor Records, newly mixed and mastered. That same year, Bang relocated to the Boulder, Colorado area, where he began reimagining previously written songs—most notably “Anna Tells Me”—while also creating new material shaped by time and perspective. “Anna Tells Me” has drawn praise for its clarity and emotional precision. As multi-instrumentalist and songwriter Korel Tunador notes: “If you are a fan of music anywhere on the spectrum from Crowded House to Ed Sheeran, you will love this song.”
